These wheelchair ramps are specifically designed for wheelchair users to allow for easy access to door ways and vehicles. The extendable wheelchair ramps reduce to approximately 60% of their full lenght to allow for minimum storage space and also fit in the boot of the car.
- Available with a variable lenght of upto 3000mm / 3meters

As a general guide for portable ramps the current EEC directive for industrial rampage suggests a raise of 1 in 8 (this requirement has been adapted for wheelchair users).
So what you have to do is measure the height of the step you need to get up/down to and multiply this figure by 8 to get the approved ramp lenght required. If you feel the gradient could be slightly steeper than 1 in 8 and the ramp therefore less long it's down to you.

When choosing a ramp, the length and therefore the angle of the ramp, depends on:
the height to be raised
the type of wheelchair or vehicle
the weight of the chair/vehicle with or without the user sitting on it
the strenght of the helper or user
